"The idea for this film came from a song that I wrote some years ago called ‘Years in the Shade’ which is about the mysterious, hidden years of Jesus Christ, the childhood and teenage years that we know little about, those years in the shade before he emerged into the full light of His ministry.

I had a picture of this little boy, sawdust in his hands, playing with bits of wood underneath a large table that his carpenter father had made.
And so the story begins…."
